Galentine's Day Party: Stamped Charms
Description: You can make sterling silver charms with names, words, mandalas & motifs. Each charm will have a jump ring bail so you can wear it on a necklace, bracelet, or earring.
Prerequisites: No experience required for this fun easy workshop.
Techniques: Cutting shapes, making discs, filing, sanding, drilling, stamping, connecting, using patina, polishing.
Tools: All tools provided.
Materials: $25 kit with sterling silver for 3 small charms, purchased in class.

Description: You can make endless stackers in round, square, twist, bead, and hammered stock.
Prerequisites: No experience required for this fun easy workshop.
Techniques: Measuring rings to size, hammering, forming, using microtorch to fuse & solder, using patina, polishing.
Tools: All tools provided.
Materials: $35 kit with sterling silver for 3 rings, purchased in class.

Description: You can make a sterling silver bangle bracelet with a hammered texture, sized to fit.

Metalwork Make & Take: Hammered Hoop Earrings
Description: You can make sterling silver hoop earrings, dainty or daring in size, with a hammered texture, on an ear hook.
Prerequisites: No experience required for this fun, easy workshop.
Techniques: Measuring to size, hammering, forming, using microtorch to solder, polishing, attaching ear hook findings.
Tools: All tools provided.
Materials: $25-35-45 kit with sterling silver for small-medium-large hoop earrings.

Metalsmith Fundamentals Session 1
Note: Sessions 1, 2, 3, and 4 are each 3 hour sessions that are offered evening, weekday, full day Saturday or over a two-day weekend. Check the scheduler.
Description: Beginner level class focused on building skills in the fundamental techniques & tools used in jewelry making. Session 1 techniques below.
Prerequisites: None
Techniques: Measuring, marking, cutting shapes, disc making, bending, annealing, filing, sanding, hammering, texturing, drilling, using motorized rotary tools, connecting, applying patina, polishing.
Tools: All tools provided. If you have some jewelry tools, bring them with your initials or paint mark.
Materials: $15 kit with sterling silver for 1 practice project.
Class size: 6 max
Food and Drink: You may bring a beverage. We have water and hot tea available. The full day classes have a 1 hour lunch break.
Fees: $75 for 3 hour class.

Prerequisites: Metalsmith Fundamentals Session 1
Techniques: Piercing & sawing, filing inside cutouts, sawing shapes for stones, rings, components.
Tools: All tools provided. If you have some jewelry tools, bring them with your initials or paint mark.
Materials: $15 kit with sterling silver for 1 practice project.
Class size: 6 max
Food and Drink: You may bring a beverage. We have water and hot tea available. The full day classes have a 1 hour lunch break.

Techniques: Forming & forging wire stock for connecting, capturing, riveting, beaded links, jump rings, chain fabrication, ring shanks, components.
Tools: All tools provided. If you have some jewelry tools, bring them with your initials or paint mark.
Materials: $15 kit with sterling silver for 1 practice project.

Description: Beginner level class focused on building skills in the fundamental techniques & tools used in jewelry making. Session 4 techniques below.
Prerequisites: Metalsmith Fundamentals Sessions 1, 2, and 3
Techniques: Forming sheet stock by swaging, doming, raising, fold forming, hollow forming. This session includes how to reclaim scraps by melting into ingots and rolling into sheet or drawing into wire.
Tools: All tools provided. If you have some jewelry tools, bring them with your initials or paint mark.
Materials: $15 kit with sterling silver for 1 practice project.

Description: Come start or cultivate your journaling practice in the peaceful studio, where tools & guidance are available when you need it. This session is intended to give us a space to do our art journal crafting and writing in the company of community. You are not alone.
Prerequisites: No experience required. Bring your own journal that you’re working on.

Description: Explore techniques for nature journaling to hone our connection to and observation of the natural world around us.
Prerequisites: No experience required for this fun, easy workshop.
Techniques: Basic sketch of landscape components, animals, plants, graphic elements, use of watercolor, markers, ephemera, collage & stickers, playing with design & process in the act of observation & expression.
Tools: All tools provided. If you have some tools, bring them with your initials or paint mark.

Paper Arts: Grimoire Journal
Description: What is a grimoire? A very personal journal or manual of the recipes and traditions, spells and rituals that matter to you.
Prerequisites: No experience required for this fun, easy workshop.
Techniques: We will explore the recording & planning of special life events, goal manifestation, and seasonal celebrations as they relate to the agrarian wheel of the year. We will use basic journaling techniques such as graphic elements, use of watercolor, markers, ephemera, collage & stickers, etc.
Tools: All tools provided. If you have some tools, bring them with your initials or paint mark.
